britney spearsBritney Spears is reportedly planning two weeks of gigs at London’s O2 Arena next summer as part of her comeback tour.

The singer hasn’t played in the UK since 2004 but she said she “definitely” wants to tour next year to promote her forthcoming sixth studio album ‘Circus’, which is released at the start of next month.

A source told the Sun that she’s planning the fortnight’s residency at the venue to thank her British fans for their support during her troubled years: “It will be fantastic for Britney and great for her fans in the UK that so many of them will see her in action.

In related news, the cover art for ‘Circus’ was released on Friday. Like the cover of her current single ‘Womanizer’, the cover evokes the blonde-haired dark-eyed Britney of old in contrast to her darker hair and the wigs she frequently used during her troubles.
