Last month, the couple of 11 years announced they separated over the summer prior to the X-Files star entering treatment for sex addiction - but a source in New York spotted them together at the weekend.

The source told the New York Post that the pair were trick-or-treating with their children Madelaine and Kyd around the Upper East Side on Friday night: “They were very cute and were holding hands.

“[They] looked very mellow and relaxed [together].”

A source close to the couple added: “The end of long term relationships are rarely clean cut, especially when kids are involved.

“David and Téa are working through things. They probably won’t get back together but there is still a lot of love there.”
