Amy Winehouse returns to hospital for chest infection treatment

Amy Winehouse has readmitted herself to a London hospital after a weekend at home.

The singer was spotted leaving the private London Clinic on Friday after a week of tests for her recurring lung problems but her spokesperson has confirmed that she returned to the medical facility for treatment yesterday.

A source close to the singer added: “Amy got to spend the weekend at home with her dad Mitch as a reward for cooperating. Like anyone, she’s more comfortable in her own place than in a hospital.

“Those close to her think it’s important to keep her happy so she doesn’t rebel against their efforts to help her.”

Amy is said to be trying to give up smoking cigarettes - and using drugs - on doctors’ advice to help prevent her emphysema from getting worse.
