jennifer aniston and owen wilsonJennifer Aniston has called her Marley + Me co-star Owen Wilson “brave” for moving on from his suicide attempt.

The Darjeeling Limited actor is said to have tried to kill himself at the end of August 2007 after fighting depression for a number of years. After the incident, he dropped out of his role in Tropic Thunder but filmed his role opposite Jennifer at the start of this year.

Jennifer told the Los Angeles Times: “Owen Wilson is so divine in this film. I’ve never seen him play a part like this.

“He was a man; he was a husband; he was a father. And I feel like, how brave of him, to walk through the year that he walked through.

“He has no temper, no ego, he’s collaborative and funny and sweet.”

Their other co-star though was less fun to work with - a yellow labrador Clyde must have been method-acting his part of the eponymous troublesome dog Marley: “I walked onto the set and put my sweater and my bag down on the couch, and that dog leapt up onto the couch, grabbed my sweater and started ripping it.

“They said, ‘Good, good boy!’ and gave him treats. The set was a toy [for him].”
