melanie chisholmMelanie Chisholm has denied rumours she’s planning on marrying boyfriend Thomas Starr just because they’re expecting their first child together.

The former Spice Girl, who announced her pregnancy in August, appeared on The Paul O’Grady Show yesterday and told her one-time bandmate Melanie Brown - guest-hosting the show during Paul’s holiday - that she’s concentrating on the baby for now: “I know there’s been a lot of things written recently saying I’m getting married and they’ve said the date and the church and that Victoria’s organising it, but, no, we’ve got no plans.

“But, you know, we say we’ll get married one day but just not at the moment.”

Mel B then asked whether being around all the other Spice Girls‘ children on their reunion tour last year inspired her to have her own baby: “The tour was brilliant with all the kids. All the other Spice Girls have beautiful children, they’re all great to be around.

“[But] I’ve always wanted to have children and it’s just never been the right time for me [before]. You have your path in life and you just follow it.”
