Amy Winehouse’s anger at ban on visiting freed husband in rehab
Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil has been released from jail to a rehab clinic for treatment for his drug addiction.
Blake was imprisoned just under a year ago on charges of assault and perverting the course of justice. He was initially on parole at HMP Pentonville in London before being transferred to HMP Edmunds Hill in Surrey after his official sentencing over the summer. He was scheduled to stay in jail until the end of the year but finally accepted the option of attending rehab at the Life Works Community centre in Woking, Surrey in lieu of some of his remaining time.
Yesterday he told the Sun: “It’s tough inside - bloody horrible, but I’m out and that’s all that matters. It’s brilliant.
“I’m gonna get myself sorted. I’m gonna get my life back. [Then] I’m gonna see my wife and take her knickers down.”
But as part of the release conditions, he’s not allowed any visitors for the first seven days of his treatment and is also tagged and banned from leaving the facility.
A source added that Amy wasn’t happy when she found out they’ll still be separate even though he’s no longer in jail: “She’s not that happy but it’s him who is really angry. Blake thought he would walk out straight into her arms.”
Yesterday Amy checked herself out of hospital, where she has been undergoing treatment for a chest infection, and later lunged at photographers waiting at the door to her Camden, London home, saying: “Who’s first? Who wants some?”
After a trip to an drug and alcohol abuse clinic and then out again with friends, she is said to sucked a male friend’s knuckle before passing out in the taxi on the way home.
