Taylor Swift: I did date Joe Jonas and he hurt me deeply

Taylor Swift has confirmed that she DID date Joe Jonas and suggested the rumours that he dumped her over the phone are true.

Both parties have previously denied rumours of a romance but speaking about the romance on On Air with Ryan Seacrest yesterday, the country star confirmed they split in October and it hurt her “deeply” - and she channelled the pain into her new son ‘Forever and Always’.

She explained: “I’ve written about [the split], and I write about my life … that’s just how I deal with things. It’s tough and it’s been tough.

“[It’s] a song about watching somebody completely fade away in a relationship and wondering what you did wrong.

“You just have to try to realize someday you’ll find someone that’s right for you.”

In a related new video post on her MySpace page, she holds up a Joe Jonas doll and explains: “See, this one even comes with a phone. So he can break up with other dolls.”

She then holds up a doll of herself and warns it to “Stay away from [the Joe doll], ok?”
