Nadine Coyle: other ventures will keep Girls Aloud together
Nadine Coyle has said she thinks that Girls Aloud’s other non-musical ventures will keep them together as a band.
The band, formed after they won Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, has been rumoured to be on the verge of splitting for the last two years, fuelled by Nadine’s move to Los Angeles to start a number of businesses out there, Sarah Harding’s lingerie modelling contracts and Cheryl Cole’s gig as a judge on The X Factor.
But rather than distracting the women from their music, Nadine thinks it’ll help stop them from getting bored with the band: “After every album and every tour people say it’s the last one. But we’ve been doing this for six years and now we’re doing another tour. We are going back on the road in the spring.
“I like to have loads of things going on at the same time.
“We can do whatever we want as well as being in Girls Aloud. We can always come back to the band.”
Tickets for the tour, starting next May, go on sale on Friday.
