britney spearsBritney Spears‘ two year old son Jayden was reportedly rushed to hospital yesterday after suffering an apparent allergic reaction during a visit to Louisiana.

Britney had flown into the state with Jayden and three year old son Sean on Friday to visit her family home in Kentwood and see her sister Jamie Lynn Spears and new niece Maddie. The trip is the first time Britney has been allowed to take the boys out of Los Angeles since she lost shared custody of the toddlers a year ago and the first time the boys could meet their new cousin.

But according to reports, the happy reunion was cut short yesterday after Jayden fell ill: “One minute Britney and her sons were relaxing and enjoying their first visit to Kentwood in months, and the next minute Jayden had fallen ill.

“He was vague and unresponsive so Britney dialled an ambulance. But she was told it would take half an hour to arrive, and she was best trying to get Jayden to the hospital herself.”

The boy was rushed to the nearby Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Centre just over the state line. Mum Britney and grandparents Jamie & Lynne Spears accompanied him in the car, with Jamie Lynn and their brother Brian following in a second car. Jamie Lynn is said to have joined another vehicle in blocking photographers from following the family by driving slowly while the first car races away.

The source added that Britney stayed at the boy’s bedside overnight and his dad Kevin Federline flew in from California last night: “Jayden James had to be kept in hospital overnight for observations. We don’t yet know what’s wrong with him.

“Britney was insistent that wouldn’t leave him. She asked for a bed to be made up in the same room so she could be there at his side.”
