Blake Lively: there’s no tension between me and Leighton Meester

Blake Lively has denied there are any on-set tensions between her and Gossip Girl co-star Leighton Meester.

The two women were reportedly at loggerheads during the first series of the show over who was going to be the biggest break-out star and over the summer, their co-star Chace Crawford fuelled rumours of a dispute by saying like every workplace “there are obviously always little dramas … little things and frustrations.”

But Blake told W magazine recently that it’s nothing really: “I’ve never really had a competitive relationship in any work situation.

“The media is always trying to pit us against each other, I guess because it’s just not interesting to say, ‘Everyone gets along; everybody just works 18-hour days and goes home to sleep.’ That’s not fun to read, I guess.”
