ryan reynoldsRyan Reynolds has revealed he celebrated completing the New York Marathon by gorging on food.

The Fireflies in the Garden star ran the 26.2mile race at the start of the month in aid of the Michael J Fox Foundation, which raises awareness for Parkinson’s Disease - from which both Ryan’s father and the Back to the Future actor suffer.

Ryan told Rachael Ray on Tuesday: “[When you finish the race] you’re just craving anything.

“I think I sat down to a 10,000 calorie dinner. Onlookers were just in slack jawed horror watching me put back two chocolate sundaes, three tuna wrap type things… I had some spaghetti and meatballs.

“I flossed later, and a small child fell out. It was pretty gross.”

But he added he was just relieved to have completed the race and that his nipples got through it in one piece instead of being rubbed raw and caused to bleed through friction: “I was really concerned because I was at the finish line two years ago, and I watched these people coming in and it was like watching the music video to ‘Thriller.’

“It was really horrifying to watch, and I thought what am I going to do about this? I know you’re supposed to put Vaseline on, and some people said if you put Vaseline on if your chest you’re going to be fine. I was like, should I wear a running bra? Will people know?”
