joe jonasJoe Jonas has insisted that he has never cheated on a girlfriend and hinted that ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift is trying to ruin his reputation because he dumped her.

Earlier this week, country star Taylor confirmed Joe was dating 10,000 BC star Camilla Belle and said that the couple meeting on the set of the Jonas Brothers‘ video ‘Lovebug’ is the reason Joe finished with her.

Writing on his blog, he didn’t confirm or deny the rumours about Camilla but without mentioning her by name, made very specific reference to Taylor, who he is said to have secretly dated for a few months over the summer: “I never cheated on a girlfriend. It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true.

“Maybe there were reasons for a breakup. Maybe the heart moved on. Perhaps feelings changed.

“Any time you are in a relationship for any length of time there are going to be issues. Sometimes they resolve. Other times they lead to a change of heart. This was the case recently.”

Taylor has also confirmed Joe dumped her over the phone - in a phone call that lasted just 27 seconds - but Joe insists the brevity of the conversation was her choice, not his: “For those who have expressed concern over the ‘27 second’ phone call, I called to discuss feelings with the other person.

“Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk.”

He added: “I wish the best for the other person, but could not sit back any longer and leave our fans with a wrong impression of the truth. Hope this helps enlighten a little.”
