News of the engagement broke at the weekend after Luke announced the news to friends on his Facebook page. Now Kelly has also changed her own status on the social networking site from “in a relationship” to “engaged”.

A source close to the couple added: “They’ve known each other for a long time and they make each other very happy.

“Kelly’s mum and dad [Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy Osbourne] have been married for 26 years and are still very much in love. Kelly wants that for herself and she believes she’ll have it with Luke.”
