amy winehouseAmy Winehouse reportedly tried to head out to Surrey to see husband Blake Fielder-Civil in rehab for the first time yesterday - but missing visiting hours.

Blake was barred from having visitors during his first week at the Life Works facility but said he was anxious to see Amy, who had not visited him in prison for a number of months.

Amy was finally allowed to visit him yesterday but didn’t set out from her Camden, London home until 4pm, meaning she wouldn’t have time to get to Woking before visiting hours ended.

A source explained: “Amy was excited as she was setting off but hadn’t really thought it through.

“She spoke to someone on the phone while she was on the way and realised she’d never made it in time so had the taxi turn around after about five minutes.”

The singer returned home then headed out to see friends at her favourite local pub, The Hawley Arms in the evening.

A source at the rehab centre said: “Blake is doing great. He’s doing well and is in good spirits but would like to see his wife.”

Blake entered into the seven-week treatment programme at the start of the month as part of conditions for his early release from jail.
