Angelina Jolie: breastfeeding twins was a lot harder than it looks

Angelina Jolie has admitted that she’s found it incredibly difficult to breastfeed her twin babies.

Son Knox and daughter Vivienne were born in France in July this year but even after reading manuals and guides about different techniques (including a “double football hold”), Angelina has admitted she had to give up last month because she’d done “about as much as I could do”.

In an interview on GMTV, she explained: “You think, ‘Ah, if anybody can do that, I can do that’.

“But it’s a lot harder than it looks in the books. I did that a few times, but [mostly] I would take turns. It just takes a long time.

“It’s very hard. I stopped at three months.”

She also revealed that she got pregnant with the pair pretty quickly - while she was filming new movie The Changeling: “We decided to start trying in the beginning [of filming], and by the end I was [pregnant].”
