Mark Wahlberg: I don’t want my daughter having Paris Hilton as a role model

Mark Wahlberg has said he’s moving his young family out of Hollywood because he wants better role models for his children.

After welcoming their third child Brendan in September, Mark and partner Rhea Durham put their Beverly Hills home on the market. The couple are said to have bought a new $35million home nearby - but Mark’s hinted they’ll leave Los Angeles as their children - Brendan, two year old Michael and five year old Ella - grow older.

He explained: “We won’t stay there forever but it’s very difficult to raise normal kids in an environment like that. And I was thinking there’s no real role models for girls.

“You’ve got Britney Spears, you’ve got Paris Hilton; they’re nice enough people but I don’t want my daughter to aspire to be like that.

“I’m much more concerned with being a good dad and being there for them and teaching them and hopefully helping them avoid some of the mistakes that I’ve made.”
