Reese WitherspoonReese Witherspoon has said she doesn’t think she’ll marry boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal - or anyone else - because her split from ex-husband Ryan Phillippe was so difficult.

Reese was married to Ryan for seven years before their separation in October 2006 and they currently share custody of their two children, eight year old daughter Ava and five year old son Deacon.

The Walk the Line star told Parade magazine recently: “There are things in my life that are hard to reconcile, like divorce. Sometimes it is very difficult to make sense of how it could possibly happen. Laying blame is so easy.

“[But] when you make wrong choices, you have to take responsibility for them: ‘What part of this do I own?’. I struggle to figure out what made me make those choices. All I can hope for is that I’ve learned something from it and won’t make the same choices again.

“Family is all we have in life, but I don’t know how I feel about marriage. Obviously, I’m not far enough out of being married to think about doing it again.

“It’s important to stay open to whatever your relationship evolves into. I have a certain idea of what I thought marriage is and the whole life and [the way] things are, and sometimes it doesn’t work out that way.

“You sort of reconstitute your family. You find a family with people who come into your life for a reason.”

Reese began dating Jake last year after getting to know each other making their film Rendition.
