Following on in our American Music Awards 2008 video round-up, we’ve got New Kids on the Block’s medley - “Single”/”You Got It (The Right Stuff)”/”Please Don’t Go Girl”/”I’ll Be Loving You (Forever)”/”Dirty Dancing”.

Sometimes I feel a billion years old when I’m writing about whippersnappers like Miley Cyrus who were born in 1992 or whatever, but watching these guys makes me feel a bit younger.

If I was a few years older, they probably would have been my big teen band obsession but I just missed out so don’t have any “awww, little Joey” pink-glasses to watch this video. Consequently, I think they look a little ridiculous - grown-men throwing boy-band moves - and ‘The Right Stuff’ feels dated rather than nostalgic to me. Still though, Take That’s comeback has been huge so NKOTB will probably go the same way - as soon as they stop relying on their old repertoire and make some more fitting music to their more mature years.
