jade goodyJade Goody took time out of her cancer treatment yesterday to accompany on-off boyfriend Jack Tweed to court to face assault charges.

Jack, who is currently serving 18 months in jail for another assault, is accused of attacking a taxi driver after he was told he had to pay his fare home from a nightclub upfront. Jack denies the charge.

Jack was taken from Chelmsford Prison to Epping Magistrates Court in East London for the hearing in a prison van and was led into the court in handcuffs.

Jade, who is currently enjoying a fortnight break in her gruelling chemotherapy treatment, attended the court but one onlooker told the Sun: “Jade looked really ashen-faced and not well at all. She looked sad.”

The pair only spent a brief time in the court as they were told the hearing had been re-arranged to a later date.

Jade was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August and underwent a hysterectomy in September before starting her courses of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She has said that doctors have told her she has a 50/50 chance of survival because the cancer has already spread to nearby organs.
