Sharon Osbourne: Dannii Minogue was being manipulative by crying
Sharon Osbourne has called former fellow X Factor judge Dannii Minogue manipulative after crying on last week’s show.
Dannii burst into tears during an argument with fellow judge Louis Walsh on the show last Saturday over which act should have sung ‘Rule the World’ - his band JLS or her act Rachel Hylton. Dannii had higher priority in the song-choosing rota but Louis maintained it suited his band better.
Sharon, who was a judge on the show until June, told the Sun: “Louis is genuinely upset because he doesn’t want people to think he is a bully.
“People who don’t know Louis would be watching and thinking: ‘that poor girl’. But there are two sides to the story.
“Dannii’s got great timing and knows when to pull out the sympathy card. She didn’t cry when JLS came knocking on her door to ask for the song, did she? Her tears were only for live TV.”
Sharon left the show before the start of the current fifth season after producers wouldn’t meet her salary demands but she added that her bickering with fellow judge Dannii also played a big factor in her decision to go: Dannii was 99.9 per cent of the reason. I couldn’t take that in my life.
“Her eyes turned brown her head was so far up [Simon Cowell’s] backside.”
- Do you think Dannii was deliberately crying for the sympathy vote or was she genuinely upset? Is Sharon stirring things by bringing it up? Have your say in the comments section below.
