Demi Moore: I nearly killed myself with exercise regime
Demi Moore has admitted she did get a bit crazy with her exercise regime in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The actress shaped up for 1996’s Striptease then added more muscles for 1997’s GI Jane and kept up her routines as she started her 40s so she look her best for Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle in 2003.
She told Hello magazine: “I must admit that I did nearly kill myself years ago, but I’ve not had that kind of time for quite a while.
“There was a time when I took on several film roles that made it absolutely necessary for me to be buff, but I took it a bit too far I think.
“I used to love running, but I have replaced that with brisk walking - it’s less impact on the bones. I also do Pilates to stretch and elongate the muscles, and some light weights. I don’t kill myself any more.
“I am flawed. I’m not 20, not 30, but I’m certainly different from what most people feel someone in her 40s should be. I’m very comfortable with the age I am, and the way I look.”
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
