Britney Spears is a wonderful mum, says her mum Lynne Spears

Lynne Spears has said she thinks her daughter Britney Spears is a “very normal” wonderful mum.

Speaking on GMTV this week, Lynne said that while Britney only has visitation access rather than shared or full custody of her two sons, she’s a great mum when she does see them: “Oh she’s a wonderful mother – she’s funny, she’s extremely affectionate. [At] home, where there’s nobody around, she’s very normal.”

Britney lost custody of the boys - three year old Sean Preston and two year old Jayden - last year after breached court conditions of the agreement then lost all access rights after police were needed to end a dispute at her home in January in which she wouldn’t surrender Jayden after a visit. After her dad Jamie Spears and lawyer Andrew Wallet were appointed her conservators in February, she has gradually been allowed more visitation and now sees the boys for two day time visits and one overnight stay a week.

Lynne added that with her family life getting back on track and her comeback in full swing - with her new album ‘Circus’ set for release in the UK on Monday - Britney is back on top again: “I think Britney’s just ready to get started again. I think this is when she’s most in her element.”
