Alex CurranAlex Curran has said she’s got no intention of following her fellow WAGs into television jobs.

Alex, who is married to Liverpool and England star Steven Gerrard, squeezes in the odd modelling assignment around being a “full-time mum of two” but says she won’t follow Joe Cole’s fiancee Carly Zucker into the I’m a Celebrity jungle or Coleen Rooney into a presenting role.

She told the Sunday Mirror recently: “I get asked to do everything, like Strictly Come Dancing, and I’m A Celebrity, but I couldn’t bear it.

“I had to do an interview for my perfume on the local news, and I was terrified, I didn’t know what to say. If someone puts a camera on me and everyone focuses on me, I think I’ll just, like, vomit.

“I’ve been put in this position because of Steven and, when I was getting the bad press for my clothes and shopping all the time and all sorts, I had to do something to turn it around. I don’t want a big career though - I just like doing my column and bits of fashion shoots, that’s it.

“It feels weird [being famous]. It’s not bad like I can’t go anywhere - I get followed around in Liverpool, but where I live [in nearby Freshfield] it’s fine.

“People recognise me a lot but I haven’t had a big run-in with anyone. When I’m on a night out, I get the odd comment, but nothing too heavy, so it doesn’t annoy me.”
