madonnaAs her divorce reaches its completion later this month, Madonna is reportedly looking for a new supersized home in New York to raise her family.

The singer has been primarily based out of the city since the early summer and after officially splitting from husband Guy Ritchie, is said to want to raise her children - daughter Lourdes and sons Rocco & David - in the area.

Up until now, the star has lived in a luxury apartment in Central Park West but according to the New York Post is “discreetly looking” at something a little bigger on the East End or Upper East Side.

An inside source told the newspaper: “We’re talking about private, double-width mansions in the vicinity of $30 million to $60 million.

“[She also wants a house] with a garage that you can drive into for additional privacy - although those are rare and hard to come by.”

The source added though that she won’t be rattling around the mansion by herself while her children are away with their dad in London - much rumoured fling Alex Rodriguez is said to be looking at homes in the area too: “Madonna personally came to look at one house a couple of months ago, and Alex has been looking recently.”
