madonnaMadonna has reportedly bought Christmas presents for Alex Rodriguez’ children - even though his estranged wife Cynthia Rodriguez has made it clear she doesn’t like the star.

Madonna and baseball player A-Rod have been romantically linked over the last six months but until Madonna officially split from husband Guy Ritchie in October, repeatedly denied claims of an affair. However, the still-secretive couple are said to be getting closer - with Madonna serenading Alex at a concert, the pair spending part of Thanksgiving together and Alex joining her for the Central & South American leg of her current tour.

A source close to the star told the Mirror that Madonna personally picked out the gifts for three year old Natasha and seven-month-old Ella: “Madonna is so comfortable in the parental role. She also knows how happy it makes Alex when she shows her nurturing side.

“She picked up a little red Burberry wool coat and a little black Burberry dress for Natasha. She knew Alex will recognise the brand, even if Natasha just thinks it’s pretty.

“And for Ella, she ordered a round crib from Bonne Nuit and one of their tables. Alex appreciates it when someone makes an effort and goes out of their way.”

The girls’ mum Cynthia filed for divorce from Alex in July after claiming he was having a “spiritual affair” with Madonna.
