Has George Clooney got a thing for cocktail waitresses?

George Clooney has reportedly developed a bit of a thing for cocktail waitresses.

After dating Sarah Larson for a year after meeting her while she was working as a waitress in Las Vegas, the Ocean’s Eleven star is said to have spent several hours on Wednesday night chatting to a barmaid at exclusive London club, Whisky Mint.

George hit the nightspot after a dinner at nearby Nobu with Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Damon, and according to reports made a direct beeline for the bartender after meeting her on a previous visit to the UK.

An onlooker explained: “George arrived at the bar at midnight and went straight to talk and drink with a brunette behind the bar.

“He looked very happy and was polite to the long line of female admirers who came up to talk to him, but was really just interested in her.

“He certainly distracted her from serving drinks.”

Last night the actor hosted a star-studded fundraising event at a private home in Mayfair to raise money for provide aid in Darfur. Guests, who paid up to £10,000 a ticket, included Matt & Luciana, Scarlett Johansson, Guy Ritchie, Bono, Christian Slater & Tamara Mellon, Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova, Cindy Crawford, Yasmin Le Bon, Trinny Woodall, Michael Caine and Sarah Ferguson.
