britney spearsBritney Spears‘ first husband Jason Alexander has been sentenced to 10 days in jail after violating his drink-driving probation.

Jason was arrested for a DUI in Los Angeles in 2006 but, as is standard for first time offenders, was given probation with the requirement to attend an alcohol education programme including a visit to a local morgue.

According to reports, he skipped out on his first two scheduled appointments to make the visit and the judge overseeing the case felt he didn’t deserve a third chance to attend. He is expected to be released next week.

Britney married childhood friend Jason in Las Vegas in 2004 but just 55 hours later, the pair got the union annulled.
