eoghan quigg and diana vickersX Factor’s Eoghan Quigg has said he “adores” Diana Vickers - but her boyfriend isn’t threatened by their pair’s closeness.

Diana, who was voted off the ITV1 talent show on Saturday night, has been repeatedly linked to Eoghan over the last few weeks but insists they are just “bessie mates” and that she’s been faithful to boyfriend of eight months Chris Jones.

On Saturday night, Eoghan was seen crying after Diana was told she was out of the final and later they were spotted hand-in-hand in a taxi on the way out of the X Factor studios.

According to the Mirror, Diana yesterday said she “had the best night ever” on Saturday night and Eoghan admitted: “I absolutely love her and adore her - she is an amazing girl.”

But Diana’s boyfriend Chris Jones, who has remained in the pair’s hometown of Blackburn throughout the competition, told the newspaper he’s not worried about Diana’s friendship with Eoghan: “There are a few difficulties because she is down in London and I am in Manchester, so there is a lot of distance between us. But we have not split up.

“We have been going out together for eight months. We have a really close relationship and speak every day.

“I am not threatened by Eoghan and will support her all the way.”

Diana has said she will be in the audience for next Saturday’s final to cheer along Eoghan as he goes head-to-head with Alexandra Burke and boyband JLS.
