The couple welcomed son Bronx Mowgli Wentz on 20th November and Pete told People magazine this week that the boy is developing every day - and seems more and more surprised by the world: “Every time I see my son, it looks like he’s landing on the moon and discovering new rocks and stuff.

“I mean, every time he looks at his hand, it’s like he’s Christopher Columbus making it across the ocean. It’s pretty awesome.”

Writing on her blog, new mum Ashlee added: “Motherhood is the most fantastic experience I have ever been thru. Bronx makes me laugh and smile everyday!”

Ashlee stepped out for the first time since giving birth this week, attending an exhibition of art by Pete and Gym Class Heroes Travis McCoy. But don’t expect to see any posed snaps with the newlyweds and their bouncing boy any time soon: a source told the New York Post the couple haven’t been able to secure a magazine deal for Bronx’s first photo shoot.

The source explained: “Pete and Ashlee have approached every single celebrity magazine with offers to sell their first photos, but nobody wants them. Covers of them tend not to sell well.”
