Eoghan Quigg & Diana Vickers are two kids in love, says Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell has seemingly confirmed the romance between X Factor contestants Eoghan Quigg and Diana Vickers, saying they’re “two young kids in love”.

The young pair have repeatedly denied reports of a romance, insisting they’re just friends, but this week have fuelled rumours after Eoghan admitted he “adores” Diana and she dumped her boyfriend of eight months, Chris Jones.

Now Simon Cowell, Eoghan’s mentor on the show, has apparently confirmed the fling while discussing Eoghan’s Saturday night tears at a press conference yesterday.

He explained: “Look he seemed pretty happy today. I don’t think that there will be any more tears.

“They are just two young kids in love. When you make live TV things like that happen. That is the fun thing about it.

“They are young and enjoying themselves. Why not?”

After Diana’s depature from the show last week, Eoghan faces Alexandra Burke and boyband JLS in the show’s final tomorrow.
