miley cyrusMiley Cyrus has revealed it’s been quite the week for her - she got her driving learner’s permit on Wednesday and a Golden Globe nomination on Thursday.

The Hannah Montana star has been getting excited about learning to drive for the last six months but she was surprised to receive the nomination in the Best Original Song category for her song ‘I Thought I Lost You’ from Bolt.

She told People magazine: “I’m so stoked! I never expected to get nominated.

“I got a text from four different people. I was like ‘Holy Moly!’ It’s good because people will take me a little more seriously.

“I can’t believe I’m on the same list as Clint Eastwood, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and everyone else.”

But not everything has gone her way - the multimillionaire star didn’t get her long-desired car she wanted for her 16th birthday and is having to make do with her mum’s old motor instead.

She told Extra: “I took my mom’s old car.

“I didn’t get the one I wanted, but I got the old car, which wasn’t so bad because it was Porsche… it was a pretty good hand me down.”

The Golden Globes ceremony will take place next month.
