denise richardsDenise Richards and Charlie Sheen’s two young daughters were involved in a four-car pile-up on Friday - but luckily escaped unharmed.

The incident occurred on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on Friday afternoon when the girls - four year old Sam and three year old Lola - were riding in a Mercedes SUV with their nanny.

According to police reports, another car, a Honda, made a sudden left turn in front of them, cutting them up and sparking a four-car collision.

A spokesperson for Charlie told People magazine: “Charlie told me that the girls are fine. He said it could have been much worse.

“They were in their car seats, and he is extremely grateful for the safety features from Mercedes.

A police spokesperson added: “The only person injured was the driver of the Honda. There was no crime committed.”

Denise and Charlie engaged in a bitter custody dispute over the girls in 2006-7 following their divorce. Charlie has now remarried and is expecting twins in the new year with new wife Brooke Mueller.
