After being crowned the winner of this year’s The X Factor, Alexandra Burke gave an emotional performance of her soon-to-be debut single ‘Hallelujah’.

I love the original version of the song, and Jeff Buckley’s awesome cover, and I love how Alexandra’s version starts off in the same low-key way - but when the choir kicks in, CHEESE. She does a great job - especially through, or perhaps because of, her tears - but they should have left the arrangement simple to let her shine.
