guy ritchie and madonnaAfter reports that they were facing their first big custody dispute, Madonna and Guy Ritchie have reportedly called a truce and are planning to spend Christmas together in the UK for the sake of their children.

Madonna had been previously rumoured to be wanting to spend the holidays in New York with daughter Lourdes and sons Rocco & David, but Guy Ritchie was demanding that at least the boys spend Christmas in the UK with him.

Now a source has told the Mail on Sunday: “Madonna and Guy want the best for the kids and so she has decided to come over to the UK so they can be with their father.

“The plan is for them to be together on Christmas Day at [their estate in Wiltshire] Ashcombe House. Madonna arrives in England on December 23rd and is planning to stay for Christmas.”

The source added that Guy is delighted that they’ve settled the issue amicably: “Guy is happiest with his kids and in the countryside.

“Because of what the kids have been through this year he wants to treat them to a really special Christmas with stockings of presents and a big tree.

“He is planning on having a traditional turkey dinner - although all the food will be organic at Madonna’s insistence.

“Guy can’t wait. He’s so looking forward to having some quality time with his son and he will spoil him rotten. Not with expensive gifts but little treats like letting Rocco watch some TV and eat a few sweets.

“Madonna is aware that she has come out worse than Guy as far as coverage of the divorce is concerned and she didn’t want headlines about them rowing over the kids
and Christmas. She has decided to be the bigger person and bring the kids home to Guy.

“Madonna doesn’t really like Ashcombe but she thinks it’s important that they put on a united front for the kids. She will, however, be eating a different meal as she will only eat fish. She will also be working out on Christmas Day.”

The couple have not seen each other in person since they confirmed their separation in October. The first stage of their divorce was granted last month and their eight year marriage is expected to be formally dissolved around the end of the year.
