Paris Hilton devastated at $2million jewellery theft
Paris Hilton has said she’s “devastated” at the loss of personal items and around $2million worth of jewellery from her home in Los Angeles.
In the early hours of Friday morning, when the socialite was out clubbing, an intruder is believed to have broken into the Sherman Oaks property and taking the items from the heiress’ bedroom.
Paris told Life & Style: “I am devastated. I cannot believe someone broke into my home.
“They took items that had such sentimental value that no one will ever be able to replace. I’m just thankful that I wasn’t there when it happened.”
But her mum Kathy Hilton has told her daughter to focus on what’s important - and it isn’t bling: “[Paris] and I were talking about it and really, it is stuff. I’m just happy that she’s okay… You can’t be possessed by your possessions. Those are just things. And I’m happy that she’s okay.”
Los Angeles police have confirmed the break-in and are currently investigating the case.
