kate middletonKate Middleton’s mum has reportedly told friends she’s not convinced Kate’s boyfriend Prince William will ever propose.

Kate and William have dated off and on for around five years and have long been rumoured to be on the verge of engagement - so close that the now-dying Woolworths chain reportedly pumped millions into preparing memorabilia in advance to celebrate the proposal.

But now a source has told the Daily Mail that Carole Middleton isn’t sure the union will ever come about - and is worried about how the relationship might ruin her daughter’s life: “Carole is very concerned that it might not happen.

“She was at a social event recently and Kate and William came up in conversation. Carole said, ‘Of course, we just don’t know what Kate’s going to do now.’

“The feeling is very much that there might not be a wedding at all [and] Carole is very concerned about Kate’s position.

“She said Kate can’t do a normal day job because she gets so much attention from photographers every time she goes to work.

“The truth is, Kate’s living a pretty boring existence working at her parents’ business and keeping a low profile, which is what William has asked her to do.”

William is said to be unwilling to commit until he is finished with the military and civilian training expected of him. Next month, he is expected to announce he’s signed up for seven-and-a-half years of service with RAF.
