Emma Watson on the worry of being a super-rich student

Emma Watson has said she’s worried about how people will react to her - and her wealth - when she starts university next September.

The Harry Potter star is estimated to be worth around £10million at the moment, with her bank balance set to rise again when she makes the final films in the fantasy series next year - a considerably greater sum than most 18 year old freshers.

She explained recently that she’s worried about how her money and fame will impact her ability to make friends at college - and also bar etiquette: “I don’t know whether everyone will ask me to buy the drinks at the student bar, that’s quite a consideration.

“I hope I buy a round then someone else will do a round.”

The actress has previously said she hasn’t decided yet whether to study in the UK or in the US but hopes to study English wherever she ends up. Despite disrupting her education filming the Harry Potter movies, Emma received straight A grades in her A Levels last summer.
