Celebrities at Christmas: Mariah Carey loves being loved-up for the holidays
Mariah Carey has said she’s looking forward to her first Christmas as a married woman.
The singer married Nick Cannon in April after a month-long whirlwind romance and told Redbook magazine recently: “I’m really looking forward to being in love on Christmas.
“It’s easy to be lonely that time of year, and in the past I just dove into that festive mode with a sort of I-don’t-care attitude.
“The holidays are always great, but being in love is going to be the icing on the cake.”
The couple headed out to Aspen in Colorado earlier this week - where Mariah has celebrated Christmas every year since 1997.
She explained: “Aspen is all about the snow and the environment, so it automatically puts you in that celebratory mood.
“I don’t really do up my New York apartment for Christmas; I save everything for Aspen.”
