peaches geldofPeaches Geldof has said she isn’t trying to follow in her late mum Paula Yates’ footsteps.

Both mother and daughter had a wild social life and procession of rock star boyfriends before marrying young - Paula to Peaches’ dad Bob Geldof and Peaches to Max Drummey after a whirlwind romance this summer - but after succumbing to alcohol and drug addictions, Paula died of an accidental heroin overdose in September 2000, when Peaches was just 11.

The young socialite told Hello magazine rececntly: “I don’t take inspiration from my mother. She was great, but she was my mother.

“I remember her being very beautiful when I was young. Those things faded as she got heavily into addiction, but before then she was so witty. She was so fashionable. Like a star.

“[But] I’m not voyeuristic into her life and I’m not trying to copy her. I just want her to be at peace.”
