Ulrika JonssonUlrika Jonsson is reportedly set to earn £175,000 for her four weeks in the Celebrity Big Brother house next month.

The TV presenter’s pay packet is around £30,000 more than the next highest paid housemate’s earnings - glamour model Lucy Pinder’s £150,000 - and nearly nine times as much as the lowest paid, former A1 singer Ben Adams’ £20,000.

An inside source from the show explained that the difference is already causing resentment between the celebrities - but show bosses think it will be worth it because of Ulrika’s numerous high profile relationships.

The source told the News of the World: “Many of the other celebrities are fuming. When you are doing exactly the same job as someone else and they are getting paid much more, it can cause resentment.

“But Channel 4 thinks Ulrika is the top-billing celeb because of her past. The revelations she may come out with will get everybody watching - we hope it’s going to be TV dynamite!”

After a year’s break last year following 2007’s racism controversy, Celebrity Big Brother 2009 is set to start next Friday.
