Kate MossKate Moss reportedly had a bit of a panic over Christmas when she lost the gift boyfriend Jamie Hince had bought for her.

The Kills’ guitarist had commissioned a £3,000 silver ring for her during his recent tour of the US but according to the Mirror, the supermodel lost it almost as soon as she’d opened it.

A source told the newspaper: “There was a terrible panic when Kate realised the ring had disappeared.

“Jamie had it specially made for her in Santa Fe. It was a Native American ring designed to symbolise Kate’s happy future and Jamie’s role in it.

“It was solid silver with a gorgeous blue stone and was supposed to have all sorts of protective powers. But Kate forgot to put it back in its box and the piece went walkabout. She was scouring through the bins and rifling around discarded wrapping paper like a woman possessed.”

The ring still hadn’t turned up when a car arrived to take her, Jamie and her daughter Lila to the airport to fly out to Thailand for her annual New Year break: “Jamie almost lost his rag when he thought they were going to miss their flight [because she was still hunting for it]. He had to practically shove her into the car.

“Poor Kate kept apologising. But she later joked that the ring’s protective powers left a lot to be desired!”
