Evan Rachel Wood has dismissed rumours that she’s dating her The Wrestler co-star Mickey Rourke.

Evan plays Mickey’s daughter in the critically acclaimed film but rumours began to swirl about the pair after Mickey was spotted being quite touchy-feely with the 21 year old at the weekend’s SAG Awards and onlookers claimed the couple enjoyed a kiss.

However, Evan, who previously dated Marilyn Manson, told Rolling Stone magazine that she was saddened and annoyed by the rumours: “I’m upset because I feel disrespected by the press and by Mr Rourke.

“I’m not attracted to him, he’s too old for me. Nothing ever happened and nothing ever will.

“Just because I’m single doesn’t mean that you can take advantage of me. It’s unfair that the performances might suffer because of all of these distractions.”

She added that after finishing with Manson late last year, she’s enjoying being single for the time being: “I’m not going to rush into anything.

“I can go on a road trip with my girlfriends any time. I don’t have to check in with people. I can stay out late. I can talk to guys, no one freaks out!”

Lewis Hamilton was reportedly left blushing after a gift mix-up with girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger.

Pussycat Dolls star Nicole received a good luck gift of 50 red roses and a diamond necklace worth £100,000 before the group’s gig at the O2 Arena in London on Wednesday night - and when boyfriend Lewis showed up, she showered him with thankful kisses.

An onlooker told the Sun: “It was all a bit awkward for Lewis. He showed up and got an almighty embrace from Nicole to thank him for his gift.

“He had got her a pressie but it was something pretty simple and he seemed a bit baffled by her overreaction.”

In fact, the roses and the necklace were a gift from another admirer, a member of the Saudi royal family: “It soon became clear she thought the diamonds and the roses were from him, especially when she opened the card.

“They both saw the funny side - but Lewis will be upping his efforts next time.”

Isla Fisher has revealed it wasn’t too hard to get into character for her role in Confessions of a Shopaholic because she often finds herself buying excessive amounts of clothes in real life too.

But unlike her character, who racks up colossal credit card debts because of her love of clothes, Isla blames shop assistants for her mis-purchases: “Several times I’ve been suckered into a fashion that wasn’t very flattering on a small frame.

“I’m terrible with peer pressure, so once several shop assistants convince me I look good - even though I can tell I don’t - I will in fact make the purchase and live to regret it.

“I try to remove items from my closet that don’t work any more and give them to friends.”

Former Blue Peter presenter Zoe Salmon has said she found it embarrassing when she started rehearsing with partner Matt Evers for Dancing on Ice.

She told the Mirror recently: “Some of the lifts are very intimate and I’m such a prude! I mean, on date 64 you might get a kiss on the cheek if you’re lucky!

“It was a massive hurdle for me to overcome. I used to just stand on the ice and giggle because I was embarrassed.

“I’d get told, ‘You need to stick your boobs out’ or ‘I’m going to put my hand round by your thigh and your f***y’. That shocked me as I just think it’s a really vulgar term.

“At first, I said, ‘Excuse me, is there any way you can call that something else?’ but then I realised I needed to get over it. In training they call a spade a spade as it’s the quickest way.

“Now I don’t raise an eyebrow. It’s a very intimate sport!”

She added though that taking part in the show is fulfulling a longstanding dream: “I just want to be good at it, as this is the first sport I’ve fallen in love with. Growing up I wanted to be a ballerina so I just pretend I’m a ballerina on the ice. It’s a childhood fantasy.

“I do get nervous because it’s so dangerous. Honestly even the elegant and pretty lifts would bring you to tears they’re so painful. You can eventually master it and make it look so easy but it still hurts!”

Lindsay Lohan’s dad has again criticised his daughter’s girlfriend Samantha Ronson and has begged fans to help split up the couple.

Michael Lohan, who has previously called DJ Sam his “evil nemesis” and accused her of using Lindsay, has written a blog entry saying he was delighted when it looked like the women had split up at the start of the year.

He wrote: “After seeing promise and thanking God for Lindsay’s freedom from SaMANtha’s bondage, I see now, that since SaMANtha has once again, weaseled her way back into Lindsay’s life, things have taken a dark turn.

“While I was enthused that [his younger daughter, Lindsay’s sister] Ali was with Lindsay, rather than SaMANtha, I am torn to see that SaMANtha has once again manipulated Lindsay into leaving her little sister in L.A., only to join SaMANtha on another DJ gig in Boston.

“Was this again, a means for SaMANtha to earn more money through Lindsay’s presence? Did SaMANtha’s fee drop so much and so quickly when word got out that they parted ways? Are we so blind? Is Lindsay so blind?

“I am asking everyone out their (sic) to intervene in every way possible to help Lindsay, and quite possibly, save her life. Help this wonderful, good hearted and gifted young lady to see what SaMANtha is doing to her and how she is destroying her life.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button had its Japanese premiere in Tokyo last night - but by the looks of it, fans were more interested in Angelina Jolie than her partner, the film’s star Brad Pitt.

Angelina, Brad and director David Fincher appeared together on the red carpet before the screening last night.

Angelina, Brad and their six children arrived in the city on Tuesday - the first public appearance of the youngest two Jolie-Pitts, baby twins Knox and Vivienne.
