heather locklearHeather Locklear’s has reportedly been fined and put on probation after pleading no contest to a DUI charge.

The actress was arrested and held in jail overnight in September after she was spotted driving erratically in Santa Barbara, California. Police believed she was driving under the influence of prescription medication as part of her ongoing treatment for depression and anxiety.

She was initially released without bail - suggesting the charges would be dropped - but then was formally charged in November.

According to reports, Heather was not in court when her lawyer entered the no contest plea on Friday morning for the misdemeanor level charge for reckless driving.

The former Melrose Place actress was placed on three years probation, fined $700 and ordered to attend a 12-hour drug education class.

A source close to the case said: “Heather is just glad it’s sorted now.”
