Rebecca Romijn & Jerry O’ConnellRebecca Romijn has given birth to twin baby girls.

The Ugly Betty star and husband Jerry O’Connell welcomed the little girls on 28th December but only announced the news yesterday, letting friend DJ Howard Stern reveal all on his radio show.

Rebecca’s spokesperson later confirmed the news saying: “Mother, father and both girls are all home and doing well.”

The couple have called the girls Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip.

In November Rebecca, who was placed on bed rest for the last month of her pregnancy, told People magazine that she intends to take a nice long amount of maternity leave: “I’m taking quite a bit of time off. I really want this to be my job for at least the next six months.

“Jerry and I want to be very hands-on. My mom’s coming to help us as much as we need. But this is something we’re really looking forward to.

“I’m really excited to see what happens next and to visit a completely different chapter in my life.”

Rebecca and Jerry married in 2007 and the babies are first children for both of them.
