Scarlett Johansson on getting engaged and not having babies

Scarlett Johansson has revealed she wasn’t surprised when now-husband Ryan Reynolds proposed - but she still got excited when it happened.

She told Harper’s Bazaar recently: “I wasn’t surprised that it was happening, but anyone being presented with a beautiful diamond ring, as a girl, you just squeal with delight.

“You say you can’t believe it, but of course you really can.”

After hinting they’d have a very long engagement, the couple married in secret in September last year - but Scarlett insists that she’s not going to be rushing into anything else: “I’m not pregnant, and I’m not going to be anytime soon.

“I’ve also been pregnant several times [according to the media]. With, like, sextuplets. That must mean I’ve been eating way too many bagels or something.”
