Jade Goody loses her hair after chemotherapy

As she predicted, Jade Goody has lost her hair in her battle against cancer.

The former Big Brother (and Celebrity Big Brother) star was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August and after a hysterectomy in September, began an intensive programme of radiotherapy treatment followed by chemotherapy.

A source close to the reality TV star told the Sun: “It’s a tough time. Jade knew it would happen but nothing really prepares you.

“Her hair had started to thin, but all of a sudden it just came out and gave her a real shock.

“She feels very unwell due to the treatment and is generally low.”

Over Christmas, Jade had to drop out of her pantomime role in Snow White in Lincoln after falling ill with the flu - which, due to her suppressed immune system, caused kidney problems that required surgical intervention.

She has since said: “I hate letting people down but I have to be careful not to get too ill as my immune system is so low.”
