Dancing On Ice’s Gemma Bissix: I want my costumes as short & tight as possible
Dancing on Ice star Gemma Bissix has said she has no intention of restricting her dance moves with camouflaging costumes on the celebrity talent show.
The Eastenders actress and partner Andrei Lipanov will dance for the first time on next week’s show, and Gemma told the Mirror: “I told the wardrobe girls to make the costumes as short, tight and low-cut as possible. There’s nothing I want to cover up.
“If people want to look, that’s fine. I’m confident about my body and I love showing it off.
“When I put on my first costume they asked if they could cut it lower. I was up for it - but I thought they’d let me take it off first!
“Before I could even undo the zip the head seamstress pulled out a pair of scissors, slashed down the front and cut off the hem. I loved it. When I looked in the mirror I said, ‘Cut it lower!’.
“I’ll wear whatever they want. They’ve shown me costumes made of skin-coloured fabric so you look naked except for a few sequins in the right places. I’m up for that. Why not?
“The only thing I’m worried about is my boobs. But we’ve got plenty of toupee tape to hold them in and strapping to hold them down. Nothing’s ever popped out on the live show and, touch wood, I won’t be the first.”
The fourth series of the show started on ITV1 last night and saw former footballer Graeme Le Saux and partner Kristina Lenko eliminated despite only being placed fourth out of the seven competing couples.
