Charlotte Church gives birth to her second child, a baby boy

Charlotte Church has given birth to her second child with partner Gavin Henson - a baby boy.

The singer gave birth to the as-yet unnamed little boy in the early hours of yesterday morning - three weeks after his due date.

After an announcement on her website, her spokesperson confirmed: “[The baby] was born just after midnight at her and Gavin’s home with Gavin in attendance at the birth.

“They haven’t yet announced a name for their son, but we can confirm that he weighed in at 7lb 5oz and that mum and baby are both doing just fine.”

Charlotte and Gavin already have a 16 month old daughter Ruby, who like her younger brother, was delivered in a birthing pool at the couple’s home just outside Cardiff.

A source close to the family said that Gavin is “well-chuffed” that the baby is a boy and they’re thinking of naming him after Gavin’s father Alan: “That name is the front-runner.

“Lloyd would be a good choice for the middle name. It’s like a family tradition.”
