jade goodyJade Goody has said she can’t wait for on-off boyfriend Jack Tweed to be released from jail.

Jack was sentenced to 18 months in prison last September after being found guilty of assaulting a teenager with a golf club - but is expected to be released under strict parole conditions later this month.

Jade, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August, told the Mirror: “Both my boys [sons Bobby and Freddie] are very loving and give me cuddles but they are different to having a cuddle with the man that you love when you’re not feeling well.

“We’re both going through the hardest times of our lives, but we’re doing it on our own. So if this doesn’t make us stronger and work as a couple, nothing will.”

She added that his time in jail and her cancer battle - which has seen her undergoing a radical hysterectomy and months of chemotherapy & radiotherapy treatments - has made them refocus on what is important in life: “What we are both going through has made us grow up a lot.

“One of Jack’s mates said to him recently, ‘When you get out we’ll go drinking and clubbing’ but Jack replied, ‘When I get out all I want to do is go and lay in the middle of a field with Jade. Then I’ll feel free’.

“I’m desperate for him to come home and give me that cuddle. I’m hoping that will be soon but it is difficult to say because it could change at the very last minute.

“But even when he does come out he will have to live at his mum’s because he is going to be on tag so I still won’t be waking up next to him.”
