Britney SpearsBritney Spears reportedly had an awkward moment when she stepped out for dinner on Monday night - she ran into ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

Justin was dining with current girlfriend Jessica Biel at the Yatai Asian Tapas Bar in West Hollywood when Britney and her mum Lynne Spears entered the restaurant.

An onlooker told Us Weekly that the pair couldn’t avoid seeing each other because the restaurant is “so small… like the size of a living room” so the situation was “uncomfortable”: “Jessica and Justin looked to be slumping down in their seats to avoid [Spears]. She left 30 minutes later.

“Shortly afterward, Justin and Jessica got in their car and left.”

The source added that while “Jessica looked gorgeous,” Britney “didn’t look the best, but she probably thought no one would see her, as this restaurant isn’t usually a hot spot.”

Britney and Justin met as teenagers on the set of The New Mickey Mouse Club in the mid-1990s and began dating in around 1998. They split up in 2002 amid speculation that Britney had been unfaithful - but Justin has since said he has “nothing but love” for the singer.

In related news, Britney Spears is moving into her new $8.9million home in Calabasas, north west of Los Angeles.

Her Studio City home has been on the market since last September but even without finding a buyer, the star is moving west.

Writing on her website yesterday, she wrote: “I just took my babies to our new home, and they loved it! I can’t wait to move in.”
